Turkish Bread with PJs Dukkah and Extra Virgin Olive Oil
As a passionate cook, Judy who has grown up in the country, has always found local produce to be a vocal point for inspiration. She loves to come up with new menu ideas which are offered on the daily special board.
One of our most popular item’s as a starter is our Warm Turkish Bread served with locally grown Talinga Grove Extra Virgin Olive Oil and PJs Dukkah made with Australian Pistachio nuts, Almonds and Walnuts. Ground and combined with Coriander, Cumin and Sesame seeds and salt.
Judy bakes the Turkish Bread in her Pizza Oven using Strathalbyn’s Laucke Wallaby flour and Talinga Grove EV olive oil, yeast and salt.
No chemicals added only healthy natural products and a little salt as the preservative.
This yummy warm bread is so good, when you take a small piece and dip into to some high quality fresh healthy Extra Virgin Olive Oil, we serveTalinga Grove or Angas Grove oils which are are both excellent local oils grown just down the road from us. Judy makes the Pjs Dukkah which takes the whole taste experience up to another level with the savoury flavour of the nuts and seeds which are combined to make the little starter an exquiste nibble. Of course it is perfect with any of our wines!
