The Brick Red Cabernet has all the  power of varietal fruit flavours combined with a lighter palate weight which is gaining popularity.

The Brick Red 2020 Cabernet is a very dark berry colour.

Aromas of red berries on the bouquet.

The palate is well structured with rich sweet berries and plum fruit, integrated with soft fine tannins making this a rich medium bodied wine.

Ready to drink now this wine will show further development with aging in the bottle over the next 4 years.

2020 was a very good growing season, this allowed the fruit to ripen evenly and infuse rich flavours into the wine.

The vines were frosted and produced a minimal crop maintaining the intensity of the fruit and varietal characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaking

This wine was made as a very small batch (3 tonne) in an open top fermenter over 8 days, before being pressed off skins. This wine had oak additions made during the 14 months maturation process, gaining the layered complexity now evident in the finished wine.
