Angas Plains Estate Special Reserve Shiraz 2013

Description

Outstanding Shiraz Scored 95 points in Halliday Wine Companion 2018 Viticulture 2013 was a good growing season, which allowed the grapes to ripen early.  The vines had minimal irrigation and the crop levels were low to ensure the vines produced a balanced crop of  Shiraz grapes with intensity of flavours. Winemaking This wine was made as a  small batch  (10 tonne) in a open fermentor for  8 days.   It was pressed off skins into a combination of 20% new American Oak and 80%  new French Oak barrels. This wine remained in oak for 12 months maturation, gaining the layered complexity now which will enable this wine to age gracefully and be a delicious wine for the next 10 -15 years. 14 % ALC/VOL         PH 3.57     Residual Sugar 0.8 g/L
